What is Adware? Adware is a software that you can download for free. It is free because it is financially supported through advertising. Just like advertisements in movies, televisions, and radio, the producers gain revenue through advertising sponsors. Same thing with Adware, the software producer or creator gains revenue through the ads. He caters his products or services to the computer or Internet users. The advertisement can be seen while the software is being installed. The ads can also be annoying pop ups while using the free software. If the Adware is not legitimate or an invasive Adware, even if you are not using the free software the ads will continuously show in the background. It would be best to prevent any Adware to be transmitted to your computer. If you have an Adware downloaded in your system, it should be uninstalled or completely deleted

What is Adware? Why do computer users need to prevent Adware to be downloaded in their system? First of all, advertisements accompanied in downloading the Adware are so annoying, most specially the invasive Adware. Just imagine working with an important task,in the computer and annoying ads keep popping out of the screen. Having Adware in your computer system will make your computer slowdown, it will not be in its peek performance. Another critical issue is about privacy. The Internet user may not know, but when he views a particular website, the Adware can display ads on the screen related to the theme of the viewed website. Without the Internet user’s approval, the ads just automatically pops out of the screen. Some Adware can collect data or information not only limited to the internet user’s preference with regard to products or services. Personal Information which is confidential to the user can be collected by the Adware. It can be sold to third parties and worse scenario the information falls in the hands of hackers or cybercriminals.
